Survival is not just about the body—it’s about the spirit’s decision to stay. A Second Dawn is a reflection on that choice, inspired by an unthinkable moment when someone stood at the edge of existence and returned.
This poem is for those who have walked through the deepest darkness and found themselves still here, breathing, healing, and searching for meaning. It speaks to the infinite resilience of the soul, the quiet whispers that call us back when we think all is lost, and the journey of rediscovering our own worth.
Life is more than pain—it is a canvas for love, growth, and transformation. If you or someone you love has ever struggled to see another sunrise, may these words be a reminder: every breath holds the light of a new beginning.

A Second Dawn
I walked the edge of darkness,
Where shadows sought to claim,
Yet the infinite whispered softly,
And called me back by name.
My path is not yet finished,
My journey’s far from done,
For every breath I now inhale
Holds the light of a rising sun.
This life, a fleeting moment,
Is more than just the pain;
It’s a canvas for my spirit
To grow, to love, to gain.
My mission lies within me,
A spark of truth and grace,
A chance to heal, to give, to learn,
And leave no soul erased.
No shortcuts mark this journey,
No hand can guide my way;
It’s mine to walk with courage
Through the night and into day.
This life grants us freedom
To stumble, rise, and see,
To find the light within ourselves
That leads us to eternity.
For when the time is ready,
This form will fade, transform,
And I’ll return to oneness,
Where love is soft and warm.
There is no end, no dying—
We merge back to the whole,
Embraced by boundless love,
An everlasting soul.
Yet here, I’ve been entrusted
With one more chance to shine,
To weave my truth, my purpose,
And live this gift divine.
So I will stand with knowing,
That in this fleeting birth,
My mission is unfolding—
I’m here to claim my worth.
