LOVE: The Dissolving of Distance

Love is often spoken of as something we give and receive—something shared between two people. But what if love is not merely an exchange, but the very essence of our being? What if love is not something we find, but something we are?
This poem, written for my partner, is about more than just romantic love. It’s about the dissolving of distance—not just between two hearts, but between all things. Love is not a bridge between separate beings, but the recognition that separation itself is an illusion. It is the thread that weaves us into oneness, the light that reveals we were never apart to begin with.
To live a life of love is to live in the awareness of this unity—to see love not as something outside of us, but as the fabric of all existence. This poem is an offering, a meditation, a reminder: Love is not something to chase. It is the truth we already hold.

LOVE: The Dissolving of Distance
Love dissolves the distance,
the space in between
Unveiling a truth
both quiet and serene.
It whispers the truth
in its infinite glow,
That no "you" and no "I"
could ever truly show.
No separate paths,
no borders to mend,
For love is the thread
that will never end.
For love is oneness,
a timeless embrace,
A boundless existence,
a formless space.
It does not meet halfway
or bridge what divides,
For no line exists
where love abides.
It melts and it merges,
it flows and it blends,
No beginning to grasp,
no place where it ends.
In the stillness, we see—
we’ve always been one,
Like rays of light
streaming from the same sun.
No need for another
to feel we are whole,
For love is the fabric
of every soul.
In its presence,
we lose what we thought was "me,"
And find in its depths
the vastness of "we."
We are already love,
already complete,
A symphony playing
its endless beat.
It’s not just between
two beings who share,
But the connection
with all, everywhere.
Each tree, each star,
each bird in the sky,
Each life is a mirror
of the infinite "I."
Love dissolves the distance,
erasing the lines,
Showing the truth
that eternally shines:
We are not apart,
we are not alone,
In love’s boundless presence,
we are always home.
It’s not about seeking,
nor filling a lack,
For love is a circle,
unbroken, intact.
But together we dance
in love’s endless flow,
Discovering the beauty
we already know.
So here we remain,
no distance to close,
No borders between
where unity grows.
Love is not seeking;
it’s simply to be,
The oneness of all,
endlessly free.
